  • Permanent Eyeliner: $600 including touch up

Encore Medical Rejuvenation specializes in a variety of permanent makeup cosmetic procedures, including permanent eyeliner, also known as eyeliner micro-pigmentation. Permanent eyeliner is a subtle way to allow your eyes to stand out without the need for the daily application of makeup. For most, eyeliner is a staple and is used even on days when other makeup is not. It makes the eye appear larger and more awake. Unfortunately, correctly applying liquid eyeliner takes time. In fact, regardless of the type, traditional eyeliner can get into the eye and is difficult to apply evenly.

There is another option if you are fed up with liquid eyeliner, smearing as you apply, or not going on correctly. Although it sounds painful and dangerous, getting an eyeliner tattoo is neither, as the process has come a long way throughout the years. When done by a professional, the permanent eyeliner procedure is generally pain-free and the healing process is quick. Style options are available, and it is important to meet with your technician to plan the look you prefer.

Why Permanent Eyeliner is Beneficial

Eyeliner is a cosmetic product found in almost every makeup bag. For most, eyeliner is a daily wear makeup product, but have you ever considered what it’s made of or if it can cause side effects within your body? Most eyeliners are made of a variety of ingredients. EWG Skin Deep has created an online database that ranks the toxicity of many products, including eyeliners. They rank each product based on four ingredient concerns:

  • Cancer risk
  • Developmental & Reproductive Toxicity
  • Allergies & Immunotoxicity
  • Use Restrictions

You can spend your time researching which product is the best when it comes to eyeliner, or you can stop using it altogether and invest in getting a permanent eyeliner tattoo. Not only will this save you time each day, but it will completely eliminate the risk of any ingredients found in the eyeliner itself.

What to Expect During Your Eyeliner Tattoo Appointment

Prior to the actual tattoo, you will meet with your technician to discuss color options and permanent eyeliner styles. The ink can be a thin and very natural line or can be thicker or even winged, always following the lash line. The pre tattoo meeting is very important as it gives the technician a good idea of your style type and preferences. If you have an image of what you would like to have done, bring it with you. Our technicians can use your photos to help get you exactly what you want.

On the day of your permanent makeup appointment, you will have a numbing cream applied to your eyes. Once the eyelids are numb, the tattooing will begin. Patients can expect to hear buzzing and feel a vibration but have very little to no pain associated with the tattooing itself. Like a regular body tattoo, healing will need to occur, so you should avoid makeup for the amount of time recommended by the technician.
